I recently witnessed BIG FIGHT (a weekly pgm) on NDTV.
The topic of debate this week was Indian Students vs Pakistani Students.
Venue – Venki, South Campus, New Delhi.
Well the debate started coolly! All the opening comments were good. But, then I saw the Pakistani studs with some unusual arguments…

Well the debate started coolly! All the opening comments were good. But, then I saw the Pakistani studs with some unusual arguments…
On the Mush issue, they supported him as their leader (tho I don’t support them, but I do not deny the existence of valid points in their discussion). Now here are some questions which came from the Indian side to the Pak lads – 1) Whom will India talk if Mush dies…since he is the supreme authority? 2) In this book, Mush is one man who is proud of Kargil. Now, firstly how can we trust such a person. Secondly, if Pak army withdraws from Kashmir, it would meant a weak signal for both Pak military n Mush (since Mush is also an army man). So, why would they be interested in resolving the issue!!
In between a point arrived where a Pak lad where trying to explain Why!! Why does terrorism occur. Then came a moment which actually shocked me; that guy trying to associate freedom-achieving-fighting with terrorism…“u must understand it’s under different circumstances that terrorism comes”. When asked to give some e.gs. He replied “such as POVERTY”.
(my advice to him :- man o man!! Dude you were representing a country n with an answer of that kind you unfortunately messed it up. Man, GOD gives power of thinking to all humans…n since you seemed to be a human my only query is ‘Why didn’t you used that power while answering’…ok lets suppose u were right…India is a country which has 40% of its population (>103 crore) under poverty line…that means greater probability of Indian-origin terrorists…now can you justify this in any way…sorry buddy this is pure contradiction).
Lastly there was one more cool Pak stud. As soon as he got the mike, he kept on repeating “please, let me speak, let me speak”. And what did he finally spoke !!, “India has 5 consulates in Afghanistan…Why…u know Indian guys are killing Baluchi children”. (my word :- It seems you think we Indians have no work to do…all we do is to construct consulates in Afghanistan and then kill Baluchi children…man think what are you speaking…India’s participation in rebuilding Afghanistan is more active than USA…and those 5 consulates must be there for helping that work and not for killing Baluchi children…give it some sense of what you speak).
BUT
All of Pak guys who came for debating may have replied illogical answers owing to their nervousness and anxiety but then they were representing a country named ‘Pak’. Hmmm…lets give them benefit-of-doubt since they were debating in a country from which they are down 3 times (INDIA)…n they were lads too. But they also had a valid ‘we Indians are masters in fighting among ourselves’…be it ancient/medieval/modern times.
Guys seriously give it a thought. Its actually ironical that Pakistan have some lads who do not even know the basics facts (they had major misconceptions about winners of Kargil and 65 war) and on other hand, have some fantastic music creators like Strings (see below), Atif, Xulfi, Jal, EP, Noori, Fuzon, Call, Raeth , ZEEST…..etc…etc…..

and plz don't support mush ( even ur country men doesn't support his thoughts and actions .
lastly this is india we build consulates in other countries to help their country build on economic reforms and development not for harbouring hardcore terrorists ( plz come here and see what "pakistani consulates "work is .
i completely agree with u next for next time u hav told them a lesson that plz come to india to make friends and talk progressively not repeat what ur Mr Mush has 2 times previously
well it was a display of narrow mentalities by pak students...
what pak and indian students say tht hardly doesnt matter all v need to do is just resolve peace in kashmir and let them live in a peacefull environment......kashmir is the part of india now but our polliticians r not taking this issue seriously....and both pak and india's politicians dont wanna do anything regarding tht issue coz they will b left with no more issue after tht.......

starters....have to say u have to use ur brains b4 writing a blog and while watchin television.
now tht i have offended u and sucessfully managed to capture ur attention let me put my view on the big fight episode which even i manged to catch it live. b4 tht i must clarify tht am an indian, bombayite to be more precise.
1) u are generlising the views of a handful of pak students to the entire pak youth. of course they spoke in mush's favor...they were sent to india by him....how do u think they got a free ticket to delhi ???but u have more more serious errors than tht.
2)when a paki says poverty is a factor encouraging terrorism...believe him. poverty has always encouraged violence. india has 40% ppl below poverty line. india also has a record number of crimes commited. the only diff in pak being the poor and well trained and used as suicide bombers aginst us. this is an issue of concern and not wrong mentality of a handful of pak students.
3)terrorism is often sold as freedom fight. and to some some extent it might be true. even i do not know where do u draw the line. but am guessing a nation with a dictator who is an ex army man tring to infiltrate the border surely is way past the line. u do realise tht when an educated pak youth says tht the war in kashmir is freedom fight...he is after all on the other side of the border. paki's believe tht kashmir is theirs and had it not been the indian military in 47, 65 and 2000 is wud have been theirs. well tht apart...u can also see tht to some extent each and every paki wants kashmir to be in pakistan and when young educated minds like these are being influenced..who knows who is not been?
4) now not criticising ur article...on the serious issue of kashmir..the sole reason kashmir is an issue and not states like punjab and rajasthan is tht kashmir is a muslim state....how the fuck do u expect pakistan which is a islamist theocrat to accept tht a beautiful land like kashmir be snatched away from them to a country which also calls itself 'hindustan' u have to accept tht pakis have always had a valid claim over kashmir. but this is where my indianism fires in. we have always prided oueselves being secular. chk the dictionary. secular dosent mean having many religions. secular means non religious. the only reson tht kashmir shud be india and not pakistani is tht we will let kashmir celebrate diwali and ramzan on the same day. pakistan will not. it is not a fight of who does kasmir belong to. it is the fight of who can preserve kashmir : the heaven on earth as it is. indians believe they can . and the last 50 yrs have proved tht we aint done a bad job. kashmir has a muslim CM who at times even supports the clemency of the guy who bombed the parliament. still it exists and we also have the president hearing to it. the idea is not to endorse tht we condone his actions the idea is to condone his actions keeping in view the circumstances kashmir has been facing. this incident proves in itself tht we are truly secular

i never generalized views of those PAK lads with whole country. wht i meant was MY views on what they spoke on tht particular episode. terrorism rising from poverty-...how can one say these things...just show their mentally...n more than tht how were they justifying...man..all illiterate guys
basically wht u ought to think (i suppose), you are confused with d overall indo-pak issue n my views, which were JUST JUST bout tht episode
n one advice: i also support pak's good attributes (read below - STRINGS) but NOT all attributes

u say dat poverty cant be a motivation behind terrorism....or a concrete motive so to speak...well do you think of any other motive......
Kashmir has been part of india right from the very beginning but all the concentration has been on keeping a check on terrorism..seriously can you think of one decent college.such is the state of the valley......tourism there main source of income almost got completely destroyed.in such trying circumstances..if a guy offers them salvation in name of jihad( read fight against india) but more importantl offer them roti..why ill they not take it???

wht u wrote is a harsh truth...n i never denied it.
but associating some kind of freedom movemnt with terrorism, n then saying a reason 'poverty' is simply unjustified. Fight for freedom comes from inside n not bcoz u r poor or anything. (subhash chandra bose could have served d britishers n earned a lot...but he fighted bcoz of his inside feeling...think n u will end yp with a lot of names...). but still wht u have said is truth..unfortunately
